Food pyramid & My home town
Write a short and simple composition on food pyramid using the given clues.
5. Food pyramid
(Hints: What do you mean by food pyramid? Why should we follow a food pyramid? How many groups are in a food pyramid? What food should we eat a lot? Which food should we eat less?)
The food pyramid is a chart to show the five groups of foods based on the proper food values. It also tells us how much of each food we should eat to maintain good health. In a food pyramid, the foods are classified according to the need of our body. At the base of the pyramid the most essential foods like bread, cereal, rice, noodles, potatoes, etc are arranged. They provide us imagery. The fresh fruits belong to the second phase while vegetables belong to the third group. We should eat both fruits and vegetables regularly. The foods of this group are very essential for our skin. The fourth phase of the pyramid contains dairy products like milk, cheese, yogurt and meat, fish, and beans, nuts and eggs.
The fifth phase of the pyramid contains fats, oils, sweets etc.
6. My home town

The name of my home town is Keshabpur. It is an upazila headquarter of Jessore district. My home town is 306 kilometers south-west of Dhaka. The name was derived from the name Keshab Patni. The upazila consists of 9 unions and 144 villages. The area of Keshabpur is 258.53 square kilometers. It has a population of around 226367. The river Kapatakkha flows by this upazila. Keshabpur upazila has a very important heritage in the history of our country. Archaeological heritage and relics include remnants of the Bharatbhainabazar Rajbari, Nawab Mir Jumla’s residence, epic poet Modhusudan Dutt’s residence at Sagardari.Black faced monkey are found only in Keshabpur upazila. Keshabpur upazila is also known for some famous personalities. Michael Modhusudan Dutt, the epic poet of Bangla literature, Charuchandra Ghosh, the first judge of Kolkata Court, and writer Monoz Basu. The famous politician Joti Basu is also from Keshabpur Upazila. I feel very proud of it.
